While Varget indeed works stellar, I'm surprised at the lack o' love for H4350 in 7-08. It has been a consistantly excellent performer in my two 7-08's.
140 AB is my "new" favorite load, though I killed all my 7-08 deer with 150-gn NPT's and a 150 NBT. I tried to try a 120-NBT last year, and had a deer less than 10 feet away as a test subject, but the be-atch didn't lift her head up so I could see she was a shooter until I didn't have a shot anymore. Pity. That would have been an interesting test of that little bullet. It's reputed to work GREAT. It sure shoots well and does surprisingly well out at extended ranges too.
Great cartridge IMHO.
