In Mntn Quail & Grouse areas we hunt, it's full of continuous Blackberry thickets and is borderd by stinging Nettle! And sometimes you'll even run into a giant paper wasp nest! I'm just now doing reserch as to where our states populations are and most resources say that's were the birds are...I'm teaching my setter to negociate this kind of brush but I check him often for stickers in his hide.
