Here in NW IA we got about 8-9" and 30mph winds on Sat. Went out for an hour or two today in single digits and WC of maybe -10. Snow was wind packed enough to carry the birds who've learned running means living while my dog and I were breaking through every drift.
This time of year a bird in the hand is usually earned and worth about four in the bush.
