Just picked up this 1907 .32 cal pistol that I bought last week. Serial #1032XX (1914?). It's got a spur hammer, although from what I read in Brower's book this gun predates the spur hammer as a standard feature.
I ran pictures of the gun past Campfire member cmhjohn when I was thinking of buying the gun, and he said the hammer looks to be heavier than the standard spur hammer that was used on later guns.
Have you guys seen any like this before? John suggested that it might be a special order feature. I think I'll see what a letter will tell me.
Special order or not, it's a nice old piece and the price was fair. This is my first Savage pistol and I'm tickled with it. Thanks cmhjon for your advice.
