Dad bought one of the first XP's in 7mm BR, and as I was young and eager, he let me load ammo, back when it was a real man's job to make the damn cases grin If the BR isn't feisty enough for you, rechamber it for the 7mm IHMSA, or even the full length 7mm-08.

It indeed shot very well. I think H335 was the cat's meow for both velocity and accuracy. I did learn, however, that the mid-grip put the EER scope too close to me, with my short arms. If your arms are long, you may be fine with them, but do make sure the eye relief with your preferred scope works for you - if it does not, you'll want one of the rear grip models. That model is also very desireable:
