Check out JB's article on loading the .30-06. 57.5 grains H4350 is a common "magic load" for the '06 with 165 gr bullets. My Cooper M52 shoots ragged little holes with this charge, RP brass, and the 165 Sierra Gameking.
Tried a few different loads of H4350 and 168 Amaxs, including 57.5grains, very poor accuracy from my Model 70, RE15 worked best for 165 & 168s. Course I was testing them at 300 yds, still RE15 worked best.
