Thanks for the positive comments. It really is a nice rifle, and all original as far as I can tell. I fired it a few times to sight-in at 200 yards, but I never took it hunting. That was coming this fall, but plans change, you know.
I can't say enough about the 7x57 caliber. It makes just a fabulous deer rifle. It hits hard and leaves big holes with the right bullets, but kick about half as much as a 30-06/180. Those of you that already have and shoot this caliber know what I mean.
You don't have to tell us. I'd love to have it, but been buying too many lately and the wife is looking at me with the frying pan in her hand. I guess I need one upside the head.
