Ditto on all but the cotton. Here in British Columbia temps can go from super cold to mild on one hunt, and I sweat if I have on heavy cold weather clothes and have to walk more than a few yards to a stand. I use the lightest, thinnnest outer layer possible and layer as needed for warmth under that. My current snow camo is cheap Gamehide jacket and pants, a couple of sizes too big to go over warm clothes easily. I avoid cotton because it soaks up water and doesn't dry.
