I had never owned a Japanese 4x4 before buying the Trooper II, I have been impressed with it's ability off road. Granted not hauling or towing but for 3-4 guys, going around to deer stands, even in snow/mud it has been great. Good visibility from it due to the square shape and even 21 mpg on the highway.
