Rechambering a vintage 300 H&H, without a damned good reason, is an unpardonable sin. Glad I got a Pre-64 before the unbubbaed ones were snapped up.

Exactly. When the 300 WBY first came out the only rifles available were Weatherbys, which tended then, as now, to be pretty darned expensive. A Remington 721 in 300 H&H was a cheap way to get into the biggest, baddest 30 Cal round of the day and I don't blame the guys back then one bit for having done it. Particularly when you look at the ballistics of factory 300 H&H ammunition from that era.
