Just to throw a clinker in here, be sure to look at an Okuma reel. I was in the market for a 7-wgt reel recently and tried a bunch of different makes in-hand at fly shops. The Okuma won out for me for overall smoothness, price and even looks. They make a 4/5 and a 6/7 version.
