Pointers are fine, but I prefer to hunt over a Springer Spaniel flushing dog rather than a pointer. I like the closer working of the flushing dog, it seems like more of an equal partnership to me than following a far-ranging pointer.

This is Riley, my current and fourth Springer. He's not the biggest dog I've had, nor the smartest, nor the fastest, but overall he's the best Springer I've ever hunted over.
