IMHO, to reiterate, it's a fine caliber. Nothing wrong with it. It's just a marketing head-scratcher. As if anyone was asking for yet another .30 caliber hunting round -- especially one that requires their proprietary powder blends to achieve its advertised velocities.

Absolutely no one (to my knowledge), other than Hornady, is producing brass or ammo for the .30 TC. I'm not sure, but I'd be surprised if anyone else is producing dies for it either.

My only concern over the long haul would be brass availability and a poor selection of dies, etc. If you reload, stock up. The good news is that you should be able to buy cases of ammo from the initial production run fairly cheap, as the demand just isn't there.
