My Dad's very old 336 in 30-30 is amazing. Better than a lot of bolts I've had. Seriously 1" groups at 100 are very common. I also had a BLR in 243 that was pretty good, inch groups weren't common but not unheard of either. The 30-30 doesn't seem to mind the ammo much but the 243 sure did, had to be a good handload for it to do much.
