AND! GASP! I hung the meat for several more days back in base camp, doink. Would have done coolers if necessary but, oh yeah, shade and reasonably cold temps at night and some attention to detail can work just fine.
Ever elk hunt in wilderness areas? Shade is your best friend. Hint.
