I have been thinking very seriously for awhile about a good combination gun. I previously had a Savage 24 in .223/20Ga.It was ok but I wasn't happy with the rifle caliber.
Next thing that came to mind was the Savage 24 in 30-30/12 Ga. Considered it but wanted a wee bit more oomph in the rifle caliber.
Finally I did a lot of reading on the Baikal line. The reviews were good and 12Ga/.308 seemed to fill the need for me.I ordered the gun on Tuesday and it arrived at the local shop yesterday. This is a good field grade gun.The fit is great.Mechanicals look good.Wood is a deep color and the receiver and barrels have a matte dark finish.I'll pick it up today since I didn't carry a case with me yesterday to bring it home in.
Range report at the first chance I get to go to the gun club.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70,it's almost a religion.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.
