Here is another Alaskan guide's rifle -- it was Bill Pinnell's 8mm Commission carbine that he carried for the first 25 years he was on Kodiak. His M-70 375 that he replaced it with is not much prettier. Notice where he whittled out a handhold behind the muzzle so he could use it as a walking staff.
