I don't carry a sidearm, just bear spray. I have carried many a pistol into the woods over the years and just grew to hate them. Never found a comfortable way to carry one that I could actually pull in a hurry. They wreck my shoulders, or get pulled out going through the brush. Finally just gave up about 4 or 5 years ago. Probably couldn't hit crap with it anyway.
