Contrary to some others, I would go with the 14 twist if you want to shoot 40s. Yes a 8 twist will shoot 40s, but how accurate? My experience with fast twist and 40s is they are not real accurate.
I had Jim Kobe build me a coyote calling 220 swift. Its a Rem 700 stainless action, Lilja 26" #4 contour, 12 twist, Mcmillan sako hunter mcswirley blue/black/gray stock with Leupold 4-14X.
I prefer 50 grain nos bt bullets for coyotes and this gun shoots them into 1/2-5/8" consistently.
What's "not accurate."
