6.5's are even better than 7mm's
The only rifles that don't seem to suck are Sakos, providing they aren't chambered in .270 or a WSM.

Burris's suck
Bushnells suck
Only S&B and Nightforce don't seem to suck
The only bullets you need are Barnes X's
The only bullets you need are Nosler Partitions
The only bullets you need are Hornady Interlocks
Then only bullets you need are Core-Lokts, .30-06 Core-Lokts that is.
Nosler Ballistic Tips are excellent deer bullets, they are the only ones you need.
Nosler Ballistic Tips blow up on deer, you should never use them.
Some bullets way over penetrate on deer, this is a bad thing
Some bullet boxes are smarter than some people
.41 Magnums are better that .44 Magnums, which, of course, suck.
.45 Colts are better that .44 Magnums, which, of course, still suck.

Jack O'Connor was the greatest gunwriter of the 20th Century
1911's are the greatest handguns ever made.
S&W revolvers are the greatest handguns ever made.
Browning Hi Powers are the greatest handguns ever made.

well, it's not even close to 10 years--in fact it's only been about 3 1/2 years.

in reflection, i might venture that what i've learned is that:

"everything is 'more complicated' than it needs to be..."


all learning is like a funnel:
however, contrary to popular thought, one begins with the the narrow end.
the more you progress, the more it expands into greater discovery--and the less of an audience you will have...
