I'm responding more in the spirit of a 'popularity contest' than offering any knowledgeable technical insights ...

I have only a Colt 1911 and a Springfield 1911, but I do want a certain
Sig-Sauer, Spartan, 1911 - if it's still available when I have some money.

But to answer your question (IMO) - I think the Springfield is somewhat better than the Sig,
I like the Springfield better and it has better customer service & warranty than does Sig (Life Time.)

Also, 'I have heard' that the Sig does not accept some standard 1911 parts, have as good a trigger, or even balance - ???
