I bought one at an auction. Don't know what the heck it's good for except buffalo.
Brass came in today. Have to decide what bullet/powder/primer.
See if any is around in the stores to buy. Of my 3 reload manuals only one has any load for this rifle.
Where would be the best place to look and learn about is rifle?
Anyone?

Id only shoot Black Powder in it! I had an early S. Sharps wolf made rifle in 45/120 weighted 16lbs, the bad was you had to clean the bore to chamber another round. sold it! Contact Buffalo Arms they have books and supplies on this stuff!

I got 3 rounds with this rifle.
Found the last owner recipe.
The BP load was a 405 gr FN lead
90 grains of 2 ff
But I talked to Sharpsman over the phone.
He said Rem did not make the 1867 model in 45-120. It has a custom barrel on it and I wouldn't shoot it. If I ever wonder out to his part of the state, I'll let him look.
So going to talk to better half on a purchase of a Sharps.
Wanted one for a long time. This one I'll take back to the auction and re-auction it in the future. The Rem.

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....
