I used this function to get it to 4-4.5# and that 's all she would do. Is there any way to get a decent trigger on these?

My featherweight has an "adjustable trigger" factory set at about 5 lbs. It has a bunch of dried goop in the adjustment screw to deter any adjustments. I can't get the goop out of the allen screw to adjust it.

My x-bolt adjusted down to 3.5 lbs. Called Browning about the goop on the adjusting screw, and they said to just clean it off. I am happy with the pull on my rifle, but think I just got lucky. My gunsmith that I use and trust, that works on a lot of guns said they rarely go under 4 lbs. his talk to Browning, they told him that is as low as they go, even though they claim 3 lbs.

I think he's talking about Ernie. He stopped selling the springs because he was tired of talking guys through putting them back together.

Kinds odd, I have 3 xBolts and they all came with nice 3lb triggers. 1" or better groups with a variety of ammo.

I have two of recent manufactured date and both are hedious with the Medallion about like my Winchester 88. They do shoot very well however, as every Browning I own does.
