"...if the gentlemen of Virginia shall send us a dozen of their sons, we would take great care in their education, instruct them in all we know, and make men of them." Canasatego 1744
Funny you mention that. Young J Monster, all 6' 7" and 315 pounds of him, at FIFTEEN years of age, has some fishing under his belt, mostly trout he'd flyfished up out of his local waterways in PA.<snip>
Great time it was, watching this gentle, well-spoken intelligent and polite young man take in his first saltwater outing. I could be wrong, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think that today will be the last time the young beast of a human has a go at this game...
Well, I feel sorry for the young feller!
He is big, but clearly well-proportioned so he doesn't look big unless there is something else (like DocRocket or Kamo_gari!) in the picture to judge his size.
He is going to make every fish he holds up for a picture look quite small!
kamo_gari, you should have had your lovely wife hold up his fish for the photos...

Aw, shucks. Thanks, Poobah! KG's pretty fahking good company as well. We had a few pretty good laughs yesterday. Perhaps the best one was precipitated by a discussion about ugly boat captains having pretty wives, and the anatomic comparison Capt. Mike made about one cap's face and certain anatomic structures had us near to choking with laughter...
Ah, yes. High times, great fishing, low humor...
