I purchased a .44 Magnum Ruger Redhawk stainless-steel revolver with 7-1/2 barrel when they first came out. Over the years I've thought about mounting a scope or red dot sight on it, but I didn't want to drill and tap the frame or barrel if another option was available.

I just finished watching a video on a Weigand scope mount that attaches to the Redhawk by using the existing front and rear iron sight mounts. It appears to be a strong and secure setup.

Does anyone have a Weigand scope mount or any others that they recommend? Since I have a Leupold 2x pistol scope and a Burris Red Dot scope, I will probably mount one of these on the Redhawk.
