Back home. I had my 1895 carbine with me at the Cody show. It was a big hit with a lot of the people there. I got quite a few people to sign up for the book. I may even do a book signing there next year. Some of those Winchester guys are alright I guess. David

21, Yeah, you are, only slightly misguided. And if you're from Georgia you can't be all bad. Kiwi, do you have the other known factory modified 1895 that was shipped in 1899?

Nice talking with you there, David. Did you happen to notice the nice little model A short rifle .303 on the table in the northwest corner? It decided to join the fancy one home with me. Steve

As I said Mine hasn't the condition of the one showen Thanks Rick & yes it seems all the old ball ended up down under here As one old collector said if there was a firearm manufactured you will find at least 1 in New Zealand But because we can hunt 365 days of the year 24 hours of the day all the rifles of any quality are used and well used My example was hunted then acquired for the Home Guard in WW1 as there is still visible, 2 white strips around the stock At least it wasn't WW2 because it would have had Military stamps all over it Cheers

That home guard connection is cool. You don't need to apologize for the condition. Most of the 18895's I seen are worse.
