I is with great sadness that I must report the passing of Jim. He left the bench after complications from back surgery on July 8. He was a good friend of mine and a very gentle soul, I will miss him greatly. Muddy

Last I spoke with Jim was at the Spokane show several years ago. Traded him a couple of my bolt handles for a stock. Sad to hear of the passing of someone that young and a very nice man at that. GD

I was introduced to Jim by David Christman. David used to partner with him until he moved to Louisiana. David gave him the ultimate compliment. Said Jim was as nice and honest as Maurice Ottmar. David learned under Mr. Ottmar and has told me for years how great a person that he was. Jim is in fine company. A big loss!

Sad to learn of the loss of another rebore man, Cliff La Bounty is out of the business, Randall Redman is not accepting work and J.W. Van Patten is long gone.

That's very sad to hear, I just traded emails with him 3 weeks ago about a gun of mine he has had. He told me about his health problems and that he was heading in to the doc the next day, but hadn't heard any update since then.

Damn. Just.. damn.

Prayers for his family and friends.
