I take it there's been a football game?

It's usually easy to tell. Every Saturday evening various member of the forum who live in a southwesterly direction begin scooting around on their knuckles, bellering out animal noises, and wheezing their Budweiser laden breath all over everybody.

Seems to be a lot of hullaballoo for a game which involves the players bending over, sniffing each others butts, then running all over here and there knocking into each other.

*yawn*,... get back with me with basketball season begins.

Houston Nutt has more lives than a cat. I can't stand that man. I want him gone so bad. Fire Houston Nutt. Hire Butch Davis.

By the way, as an Auburn fan, why on earth would you want Shula gone at Alabama? He is the dumbest coach in the SEC. Shula at Alabama means that Auburn will continue to be the best team in the state.

Now, what should be worried about is Tubby going to Miami when Coker gets fired. Easy to recruit at Miami.

Coss,

Shula's fate is sealed as of today! Nothing I can do, or any fan can do to stop it. Yeah, I wish he'd stay...he's a gone a$$. They knew this was a rebuilding year and counted this game as one of 8 expected wins. Now the scrambling begins. Not a chance in hell against UF or LSU, and likely losses to UT and AU...5 losses, 5 in a row to AU...Shula is a gone a$$!

Turmoil in Tuskalooser is always great IMO. The more turnover the more turmoil...no respectable coach will step in to that place...you come there on the hot-seat! When bammers get realistic, then it will be a great job again. Right now its a laughing stock!

Let me tell you how delusional bammers are...they have been crowing about how they won the last 3 quarters against AU last year when we called off the dogs in after the 1st quarter...and how they had a better season because they got 10 wins vs our 9 wins...as if you put a stack of 10 $1 bills on a table next to a stack of 9 $10 bills and a 4 year old will take the stack of 10 1s and claim he has more money! Monday will be a laugh riot on local sports talk! AU's lackluster performance will be long forgotten come monday!

Yeah, Im sure they'll be given the benefit of the doubt with their lackluster performance. Meanwhile Auburn has to worry about being moved down in the polls for its "narrow defensive struggle win" over a top 10 LSU and the fact we only scored 38 points against Buffalo. Im sure ND will be back in the top 5 with their huge comeback win! Media Darlings!

Fact is, at this point, if the top 6 teams played a round robin, they'd all have a loss or 2 at the end with no clear cut dominant team. It will depend on which team grows up first before it loses. My Tigers are not hitting on all cylinders on offense right now. If they get it going....look out!

Half the sportswriters in the country would award ND the championship today by national acclaim. That would be best for ND so their next 2-3 losses this year won't count. MSU just quit in the 3rd qtr. The ND coach was crying and calling it "the game of the century" You would have thought Rudy himself engineered the comeback. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Steve,

Let me put it in perspective. It can't happen in a normal year as we play the criminal tide in the last game of the regular seaons most years...but if by some happenstance the SECW came down to a game between bama and someone else to put AU in Atlanta...it would still be like choking down the sundried carrion carcass of a August roadkilled Lousiana possum to root for bammer. Most AU fans would rather bama lose than have them backdoor AU into the title game.

Beautiful thing is that the bammers were "being realistic" this year and only counting on 8 wins...one of them ARK. LOL Uhhhh, steeeeeerike ONE!

Bama always counts on beating Arkansas. Funny thing though, Arkansas' record against Bama since joining the SEC is 8-7. Bama fans think the Bear is still alive.
