Fireball's Craigslist scam reminded me of the ever popular phone calls from India. I had one last week, and didn't have the time to torment him as much as I'd liked (my dinner was getting cold) but I did have him swearing at me and promising to find me and chop my into little pieces, so I called it a small victory. Anyway, for those who haven't had the phone call yet, here's how it works. The guy filming the call plays with the scammer like a cat with a wounded mouse.

Those Indian azzwipes have been calling several times a week, I told the last one that my computer was none of his business and to GFY. Usually after I've treated them to blasts from a scout whistle they give up and leave me alone.

We've been getting them for several weeks, sometimes a couple of times a day. The caller I.D. Shows "technical support."

I always tell them Ghandi was really a Muslim.

Just got the first one yesterday, came up no caller id. Said he was going to help me with the issues I was having with Windows. I said I don't own a windows computer I own a Mac. He says let me put you on with someone to help you with your Mac. What an Idiot, sounded just like that guy on the vid.

My brother, who actually works in tech support gets those calls at work. He knows all kinds of things to tell them the computer did when the scammer asks him to run this do that. He gets them pretty pissed off when he finally tells them he has been the tech support biz for 30 yrs.

Another good one to mess with them is after they have been giving you commands to run and the are not working is to mention I didn't know my VCR was so complicated. Then you get around to telling them, Oh I dont have one of those fancy computers I can barely work my VCR.

I told them I was really happy they called because I was having some serious issues with my computer. I then told them I was on a dial-up connection which used this phone line so they would have to call my other number. I then gave them the number for the cops. Have not heard from them again. I made some suggestions to an earlier caller who then said I was a very rude man. GD

Some of these ideas are funny. Will try to remember them as he calls me. Five years of that crap.

I tried hanging up. No good. I tried blowing a police whistle. They kept calling. I tried telling them I knew they weren't from Microsoft and that it was a scam. They kept calling.

Lat week, they called again and claimed my computer needed something. I told them I was so fed up with their calls that I got rid of all my computers.

And he hung up on me!

I love that strong Indian accent and the guy says my name is David, Roger, Michael, Bob, Tom etc.

I'm going to remember that one!

My first call was from "Peter Parker," and I tried not to laugh out loud.

The call last week was from "Allen," to which I responded "hello Allen, how are you?" He then asked to speak to me, but thought it was my wife's name. I told him to hang on and I'll get her, and then gave my best Jenner voice. He said "how are you doing?.............hey, wait, you're the same person, you just changed your voice!" I replied, "and your name isn't really Allen, so what's your point?" Then it started to get ugly.

Why not put on an fake Indian accent and tell the guy your name is Guptic Dollywad when he calls you out it, ask him his real name.

Tell them you are a Pakistani and they will immediately hang up

I got one of those calls two weeks ago. Told me to look at the lower right of my Windows desktop. Told them I didn't use Windows crap. The line went dead.

Just got one of those calls asking issues with my windows laptop. I told him to GFY

Wasted opportunity...............

I'm going to remember the Ghandi was a muslim comment. Classic. Besides, I despise that skinny-assed jerk anyway.

I had one last week. He got a big gfy. He cursed me, I cursed him again, call over.

I tell 'em the truth;" I can't hear and you can't speak English so how much time are you prepared to waste?"

First time, the guy hung up. But about ten minutes later a different guy called and he could speak better, but I told him the same thing.... then I hung up.

That's been over a month and they haven't called back.
