The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time by the blood of patriots and tyrants.

If being stupid allows me to believe in Him, I'd wish to be a retard. Eisenhower and G Washington should be good company.

Yep.

I'd not turn down an opportunity to live in the central to northern Rockies, but that'd be the only other area in the U.S. for me.

The first picture of a little country store [there are two] looks just like one not far from Leland, Ms.

Good thread doc. I had to look again. Let's see some more pics.

A different view of the RSA tower in downtown Mobile. A buddy sent me this from the hole of a ship they were offloading.

The man in the photo of the cured tobacco being taken down from the tiers of a tobacco barn appears to be a Hispanic laborer.

be careful about what you take away from a picture. My neighbor Grady has a Hispanic surname. He looks hispanic. His family has been in Florida for over 200 years. He does not speak spanish, or eat spanish food. smile

Hispanic farm labor has been around here for a long time. They dig taters and hand pick sweet corn. These are hard working, family oriented people; not looking for the next hand out.

Just an observation. Nothing negative meant by it.

Hispanic farm labors were for the most part a relatively rare thing up until the last three or so decades in my part of the country with the majority being transient workers. We have quite a few permanent Hispanic residents around here now. Most of those initially moved here to work in the commercial poultry raising/processing industry but some also work farm labor as well as other jobs.
