Ben and Blue, I also have some decent revolvers and pistols and would like to shoot them well, but am not real good at it. However, I don't have bad hands/fingers like yours as a genuine reason. Even with about 60 years of heavy outdoor adventures and some rough construction and mechanical work at times, I've always seemed to manage protecting the hands/fingers because of the keyboards and wind instruments in my life. Still always wear gloves when dealing with the barbed wire fences. I've just not worked hard enough in learning to shoot handguns well. Maybe someone good can teach the old coot. Driving down to Quemado yesterday, my hands started cramping up on the steering wheel. That actually started in my 50's while driving motorcycles with lots of handlebar vibration [read H-D] in Japan and it has never gone away completely. I wonder if drinking more water might prevent that, as I exhausted my coffee Thermos and I felt better. Any experts on that?

Thank you Randy, you and young Mr. Alan are great folks!
Kent Amen. They are the best! Glad to hear that Miles has had some relief. Randy and Alan are definitely on my A-list.

Jon and Alan cutting firewood out of a nearby slash pile Darby actually engaged in manual labor. Bookmark this one! That ought to hold them for a while (Jon and Jude)

'Tis good to know that the travelers got home safely and to read these comments about a great weekend full of fine folks. Thanks for the photos - show that some baldness is starting to grab the back of the crown.
During final campsite cleanup today, thought of this list of left behinds.

Are these instructions in Comanche? Blue's trailer--information central. Jon and Katie cooking bacon...umm, where's Katie? Out of coffee already!!! On to the shooting! My red-headed grandson going prone for the rimfire turkey shoot. Jace's buddy Jared takes his turn--a twelve-year old young man that is two merit badges shy of being an eagle scout.

The firing line... Waiting their turn. Seafire with his version of the prone position. Hey, it works! That's all for tonight, folks!

For anyone with a youth hunter interested, you can buy OTC youth cow elk tags for 26-30 Dec for that unit right now. Might be a fun trip for some of you guys and your kids/grandkids. If anyone would like any help let me know. All that is needed is a hunters safety course and a muzzleloader.
-Jon Jon, do you know the price for nonresidents? Kent hunting license is $15 for a kid, habitat stamp is $5 and access validation is $4. Then we add the Cow tag for $347. Not too bad actually, can all be done for under $400!

I did not start at the top of this thread, but I want to think everybody for their help and offers of help during my painful stay at the camp. It was much appreciated and I will not try to name individuals lest I forget somebody. I am home, but have not yet seen a Dr. I am going to try to get there today. I have a man coming to build a fence and must get a neighbor to be here if I go to the Dr. My Mother in Law died while I was on my way home, so that just adds to the problems of the situation. She was a fine Woman and will be missed. I will update things when I can. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

Sorry to hear about your mom in law. I remember you talking about her while we were in camp. Glad you made it home safe and are feeling better. Hope things turn out ok at the doc office!

May God bless and comfort you and your wife, and may He keep her mother close to Him. Take care of yourself, friend. Your family needs you, and we want you back with us soon.
