Euro optics is selling a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 Zplex Riflescope for 299.00 Is there anything anybody can tell me about this scope or this company? It seems to be a very low price for this scope? Thanks in advance.

Seems to me it's a closeout on older model scope.

At that price, the Conquest may be the best value in good glass currently on the market.

Bought my 4x Conquest from them. Good scopes and good people to deal with.

I paid $275 for mine. I agree with the other guys, it sounds like they are closing them out.

Eurooptic bought a large portion of the remaining Conquest inventory from Zeiss. The eyepiece will have their name on one side. Other than that - it's the Conquest 3-9x40. I bought one when they were a$329. Based on the new price, I'll probably be ordering another. I wouldn't hesitate on the purchase. However, I seem to recall reading somewhere here on the forum that someone sent in a conquest for service and was told by Zeiss they no longer could repair those scopes. They offered a new Terra in return but the owner ended up with a new HD at no charge. You may want to confirm warranty support on the Conquest.

Yep. Closeout. Nothing to be afraid of. I bought one back in February when they were asking $330 -- whittled them down to $300. It's for my Savage 10ML. Wish I had the available cash for one or two more.

Steve.

It's pretty good for the eye relief situation on a Ruger #1 if you can't stand Ruger offset rings. The large eyepiece does hang over the loading port area though.

My take, when these are gone, they are gone.

The next batch of Conquests will be in the $5-800 range, the Terra's in the $3-400 range, of course Alpha Euros in the $2K range.

Someone on this forum posted that the Conquest 3-9x40 has severe parallax issues at 200 yards or more. Anyway, at the price they are I'll take the risk.

I think the best deal around is Cameraland's GDLE 3.5-10x44 Meopro. same turrets and optics without the worry of Zeiss' warrantee system. I have both, no more Conquests for me.

That certainly appears to be the deal of the century. Almost worth buying one just to have as a back-up.

I have one on my 375H&H and its served me very well. Tough, rugged, and dependable is all words you can use with Zeiss. You wont go wrong with this scope

Its exactly as good as my Trijicon for a third of the price.

Got one on my .375 H&H, too.

I mounted it to do load development, liked the way it works so it may have found a home.
