Serial#78xx, rifle is in great shape. I may have to sell it so I would like to know what kind of offers I'll be looking at. Thanks for any help.

$400-650 depending on condition. 30-06 wasn't an offered chambering, but you'll see .308 Norma re-chambered for 30-06 due to the expense and availability of the cartridge. If it still has a barrel marked from Otterup, Denmark. it's worth more. Schultz & Larsen were known for their quality barrels.

Just my guess. I don't have a blue book, but books don't buy guns.

A .308 Norma is .532" and a .30/06 is .473" so how can a .308 Norma be re-chamered to .30/06?

Rifles of the world page 436 appears to show that rifle made in 30-06.

There are some conflicting accounts on available chamberings. Old AMERICAN RIFLEMAN reviews on the 65 and 65DL show only Magnum cartridges for these models. However, if cartridge designation, twist rate, etc. stamped on the left side of the barrel and the name / trademark on the right side are properly lined up, rifle may very well have left the factory as an '-06.

Yes, there are some conflicting info out there. Regardless, as along as it still has a S & L Otterup barrel it should be a fine shooting rifle if in good condition.

A cursory glance at the websites shows $600 to $1,200.

Thanks guys, the rifle was chambered in 30-06 and it is printed on the barrel Otterup, M65DL. It was carried back to the states by a man that was in the service. I don't want to sell it but I broke my arm and It's not looking good. Thanks again,
