My first 99,and my first posting here. Just had the winning on-line bid for a pre-mil (901,***) EG in .308. It clearly needs some work on the butt stock, but that won't be too big of a deal. Once I take possession of the rifle, I'll know more about what else I'll need to take care of (if anything). Once I have the rifle in hand, I'll post pics. (I know: "If there aren't any pics, it didn't happen!") I'm excited about joining the "99 Community."

I think I know the one you're referring to. Be a good hunter in a rare cartridge/model. Congrats!

You weren't the only one watching that 308EG. Even with the butt stock issue, you got a great rifle at a reasonable price.
Did you ask what the L.O.P is on that? It looks like someone tried to make it shorter, then reshape it (poorly) for the original butt plate.
