What do you use and where do you find them? Optics Planet had some, but the 30mm rings are scarce. Ruger didn't have them either. Also, are the offset rings offset to the side are straight back?

As far as I know, Ruger has only made 1" offsets in medium height, which is what I use. The offset is straight.

Leupold had an offset (Extended) ring at one time, but I can't find any pictures or references to them.

Leupolds look like this:

Those are 1" Highs which would be suitable for mounting astronomic telescopes, they also make a medium.

If you can use 1" shoot me a PM, I have some spares here somewhere.

Not pretty, but looks like it will work. The rail is pretty long. If one is going with shorter scopes, higher rings will be necessary for the objective to clear the rail.

If Ruger had made their rib to extend over the action, so the back ring wouldn't have to be so far forward, things would have been easier to manage.

Problems mounting a scope, like I like them to fit, is my main grievance with the #1.

That's my greivence with the #1 too. I tried the Burris Ruger to Weaver mounts to put a 30mm Swaro on a #1 and it still didn't get it back quite far enough. Close but no cigar not to mention that it looked kinda Bubba engineered for an otherwise top quality outfit. The Ruger has a Burris 4x Timberline 1" scope on it now and the eye relief is good. Ruger should really address the scope mounts on the #1.

I don't use them because I think they're oogly. I pick a scope that works as is.

Try Amazon.
