Tip Curtis from Tennessee makes a fine .32 for right at 900 bucks in the white. If you can find one, Dixie Gun Works Tennessee Mountain Rifles are pretty darn sweet.

I'm building an underhammer using an old 8mm Swedish Rolling block barrel and 32 cal maxi balls.
It's Uber.

Pedersoli lists a couple of caplock and flint models. Finding one might be tough, but Taylor's in Winchester, Va would be a good place to start.
What fresh Hell is this?

Yea,,,, I've been to their web-site. I've actually found a few places that have Pedersoli's in stock. They seem to run about $800 +/-

FG, look up Dixie Gun Works, Union City, TN. I think they have .32 cal. ML in stock.

I have a half-stock, back action lock, lollipop tang sight, DST's, no-name .32 rifle that appears to be of New York origins (judging by the butt shape and trigger guard), probably 150+ years old. Neat thing is it's marked "Remington" on the bottom flat of the 1 1/16" x 30" barrel. I figure it was built by a smith using an early Remington ML barrel. It's rifled with a fast twist and as such does its best work with little bitty conicals, but PRBs aren't bad either. I swapped a La Corona Spanish Mauser for it 20 years ago and still feel I got the best in that trade.
I haven't shot it in a coon's age, perhaps this weekend I should make some noise with it. A pound of powder and a pound of lead goes a loooong way when shooting .32s!

I have a left handed flintlock 32, built by an unknown maker. It has a Green Mountain barrel and is a tack driver. Kind of the flintlock version of a 22 LR or even 22 Magnum if you want to step it it up a little. I've only ever shot round balls from mine. With 10 grains of 3F it is a great little rabbit gun. Jump up to 20 grains and it really cracks.
I've used both 0 buckshot with a .005 patch or 1 buck with a .010 patch with good success. A five pound bag of buckshot lasts a very long time.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Thanks for the load info Mart.
MadDog,,, I had been to their site on Ben's suggestion but didn't see anything. Frankly, their site's pretty lacking so I just sent em an e-mail. If they don't have anything maybe they can suggest something.
Thanks

America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

.310 buckshot makes a .32 pretty cheap to shoot. With the current scarity of caps, a flintlock might make sense although they aren't cheaper per se unless you know how to knap.
A couple articles I read not long ago made the case for .32s over .36s for small game because of less meat damage. Turkeys might be another story, unless conicals are used.
Anyone use a .32 on larger critters like turkey, 'chucks or fox?
What fresh Hell is this?

The 32 maxi ball I'm using in my fast twist barrel has some good numbers based on the charts and flat shoots through lumber. I'll try to chrony one, but frankly I'm thinking of deer hunting with it.

I've navigated Dixie's jacked up site many, many times.

Charlie, Dixie unfortunately doesn't make the Tennessee Mountain Rifle anymore unfortunately, hence "if you can find one"..

I only ever killed squirrels with mine, but don't see why somewhat larger game could be tackled with it. Shooting conicals with all the powder that can be burned in that small bore still only gives performance about like a hopped up .32-20- not my idea of of an efficient deer killer. In the black powder game, energy comes with larger bore diameters.

Here's a TC Cherokee 32. Really one of the best values in a 32 caliber muzzleloader. Every TC 32 and 36 caliber muzzleloader I've played with have been tack drivers. Cherokee 32

[quote=FieldGrade]Don't know anything about em but I think I "need" one. Recommendation's???? [/quot IMO the T/C would be the way to go but I couldn't find one at a price I was willing to pay for one in LNIB condition I went this route but the triggers will need some work..Took mine to a local M/L shop and for $30.00 it was money well spent https://www.muzzle-loaders.com/rifles/traditions-crockett-rifle-r26128101.html?___SID=SI'm very leery of buying used M/Lers...lots of rust buckets out there. And would only buy used with a grace period or perfered FTF
