Found another case of 16 ga. shells loaded with 8's.
Going to try out the old 11-48 that my Dad bought at a pawn shop many years ago.
Didn't know about this one till after he passed.
Should be fun.

Here, if you can find a waterhole around grain fields--which isn't hard because grain fields are everywhere (not sunflowers-we have very few of those)--with very short veg'n at the waters edge you'll get shooting morning and evenings.
A lot of doves around already.

Missing with a regular shotgun of any sort is too easy.
This year I have decided to miss with a 12 ga. sxs percussion double.
This will be easier to miss with than my flintlock I know, but then it has two barrels.
