My buddy in Moose Creel AK lived off of "Go Thatta Way" street. New signs lasted about a week until someone stole it.

Did you already take the 222 marker? Nope, never stolen any signs. This new 419.99 seems like a collector's item though. If nothing else ISP will be dealing with crashes when motorists merge into traffic after stopping for photos. Just an educated guess.......

Hwy 191 down thru eastern AZ and NW New Mexico, had that number assigned to it, after there were more thefts of the old Highway Signs, than anywhere else in America....
it is a very curvy mountain road thru Arizona, and was called the Devil's Highway from that alone... but another thing that made stealing the old Hwy Signs, was its number...

Near Weiser, ID are 2 short county roads called This Rd and That Rd. They're connected by This and That Rd. I was through there last year and the signs looked old and beat up so apparently they don't get stolen.

I've heard of This and That roads, but didnt' realize they were so close. I'll have to stop for family photos next time.

Open Google Maps and search for This Rd, Weiser, Id. They'll pop right out at you. Prepare to be unimpressed. They're just country roads with a few houses.

When I was in college, I lived a couple of blocks north of Easy Street. I remember them putting up new signs every couple of weeks or so.

I noticed that on I90 in south Dakota the "69" mile marker came down the week before Sturgis- and went back up the week after.
