Stress on the action is different than fore end pressure. You torque the action down the tip pressure isn't as much. I've never used tip pressure so can't say for sure. I do know blackheart is making a azz of himself.

I do know blackheart is making a azz of himself. Here's a hint dipshyt. You CANNOT torque down the action screws on a rifle with forend tip pressure without putting stress on barrel, action and stock.

I had an interesting conversation with a guy today. He asked me what I considered the most important factors in accuracy of a rifle. Forget the scope, mounts, ammo....just the most important baselines for developing a truly accurate rifle.
He gave my five choices:
Quality of Barrel
Good Trigger
Perfect Crown
Stress Free Bedding
Trued Action
He wanted me to list them 1. through 5. He and I debated for a while and I enjoyed the talk. We both had valid points for our choices.
In order of most important to least important, mine were;
1. Stress Free Bedding
2. Good Trigger
3. Perfect Crown
4. Trued Action
5. Quality of Barrel
How would you rate them 1 - 5?
I collect Ruger #1's, which are notoriously fussy about accuracy. But I have learned when they have good barrels, they suddenly are a lot less fussy. Ditto Kimbers  Life is much easier with good barrel So: 1. Barrel 2. Barrel 3. Barrel 4. Other stuff on the rifle 5. Trigger

Can always count on a idiot to screw up a pretty good thread. Yeah, it always fuggs a good conversation when somebody who actually knows a thing or two about the subject at hand gets involved. Loosen the action screws on a rifle with forend tip pressure and I guarantee the front of the action springs up away from the stock. Somethings "in a bind" there Einstein.
