I was talking with a leupold product specialist about CDS turrets for my new VX6 3-18x44 scope, It has tall target turrets not the normal short CDS turrets, Which is was kind of strange becuase i didnt even know they offered tall turrets on the 3-18. I asked him what my options were for getting CDS dials on my scope. Well long story short he sent me a picture of the newest turrets available. Im getting them for my scope, eleivation turret marked 0-19moa with resettable zero stop and windadge marked 0-10moa left and 0-10moa right. here is the picture of the new "tactical turrets.

NICE! That is exactly what I want. I am waiting for my scope to arrive from Leupold. I sent it back to them because it wouldn't track properly. Problem was I was using a std base and rings on my 338 RUM. Too big a scope for that mounting system on a hard kicker.
Bought and mounted the Mark 4 base with 15 MOA and a set of PRW rings. I also had Leupold add the new Wind Plex reticle and ordered the custom CDS dial. Looking forward to getting it back zeroed and start shooting crop damage deer in 3 weeks.

I asked about getting M1 type dials and was told they didn't have them for the VX-6.
I'm looking forward to hearing how you like these tactical dials.

Just the right size, if the clicks are as positive as the M1's they will have a winner.........assuming the scope will track accurately!

Danny, did you end up having these turrets installed? I'm looking at having some put on my VX-6 too. I believe these are called M3 turrets, and Leupold did tell me they are compatible with the VX-6. I'm just wondering how the CDS version looks - do they have MOA hash marks on the bottom and BDC numbers above?

So are these one revolution only turrets like the other cds knobs with the zero stop feature?

I don't know exactly what to call these turrets, but they're the same size and shape as the M2 and M3 turrets that you can get on some of the Mark 4 scopes. The difference is that M2 are 1/2 MOA clicks and M3 are 1 MOA clicks for elevation. Supposedly these have the zero stop feature but they allow for 2 full turns. I'm still waiting for some definitive pictures from someone that's had them installed!

Been shooting through a VX6 CDS for several months on a rifle. I'm gonna need to check into these turrets!

Sorry I didn't update sooner. Yes I ordered the CDs tall tatical turrets. Should be getting them pretty soon 3weeks or less. They are not like regular CDs dials you get multiple revolutions from your zero stop that you set.

You don't have to send the scope in to have them installed they mount just like that factory TALL target turrets. You might have to send yours in if they aren't the target turret size.

They are only made for the VX6. But leupold just came out with new S1 dials mounts to any scope, kind of like a Stoney point turret but way better and zero stop.

Found out that the Leupold Mark AR tactical scope turret is a direct replacement for the cds dial on vx-2 and vx-3 scopes. A little larger and more aggresive knurling, Leupold can engrave however you want them

Thats interesting, as I have a few of the Mark AR scopes. If the turrets will interchange, I wonder how difficult it would be to adapt a zero stop to the Mark AR?

Just wondering if anyone has done this and what direction you gave Leupold for the P5 cap as they are a mil turret with replacing the MOA CDS.

I have 3 blank Mark AR turrets on order through the Australian version of the leupold custom shop. It was them that informed me these turrets would work as a direct replacement for the cds caps. They will be blank on top and custom engraved the same as the pic in the middle.
