Did anyone "Ask a Gun Writer" anything on any of these theads? They're ALL BS if you ask me. If this were a case where someone came in and hi-jacked a meaningful thread and took it down the toilet, I can see the fault in that but this has zero to do with hunting, shooting or the outdoors. Just some A-hole that can't quit pokin' his f'in finger at people. If his name were on the top of his list, this would be a better board IMO....

I will do my part and STFU now Art. Hopefully Gun Writer can start answering questions on the sport from here on out instead of picking fights with the members.....

I see this board like an all you can eat buffet. Just cuz I like pudding....doesn't mean I have to chit in the jello.

Sheesh, ignoring the jello and helping yourself to the pudding.......just ain't that hard.

JMHO.

That's a BULLSEYE as I see it, HoundGirl. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> We just don't have to respond to everything we dislike or disagree with, especially regarding personalities...

Been doin' that, too. Lots of 'em. On several forums.

... why don't you make a list of things that we can say to you ...

Already done that.

Simple.

 Keep your conscience to yourself.
 Don't try to be mine.
 Don't disparage.
 Don't belittle.
 Don't insult.
 Don't call anyone nasty names.

Everything else is legit.

 Ask.
 Answer.
 Agree.
 Disagree.
Comment on content not on my or anyone else's character, motive, intent, attitude, personality, style (I can't even offer helpful hints on spelling or grammar without catching flak why then should my style be fair game?), mentality, taste, ethics.
 Amuse.
 Entertain.
Correct errors of fact, especially with details, facts, pertinent references.

Maybe I can make it simpler:

Feed the fellows.

Don't flog anybody.

I don't know who coined the phrase, but "if it don't kill you, it'll make you stronger". Besides, just repeat after me, "its just the internet, its just the internet, its just the internet and it don't mean $hit!"!

Bingo and amen!

Art, why single me out? I happened to agree with Big Stick on the issue and am guessing no accusational PM's went his direction. Am I wrong? I hardly post on this forum because questions generally go unanswered here. Have been cordial to most if not all of the gunwriters who post on this site. I just happen to completely disagree with the foundation of this post. Apparently an unaceptable thing to do here.

I believe I've disagreed with two posters here in the last few weeks (WildsWalker and Dr. Howell), and you've seen fit to call me out publicly both times. Thankyou.

"Hi!

Ive been expecting you wondering whod be leading the pack.

You dont mind, do you, if I ignore your post?

If I ever need a psycho-analyst with a spotting scope and a blow-gun, can I call on you?

Pretty safe bet,if you say something stupid in smart company, that you'll be called upon it. Have always been a better leader than a follower and the critique is gratis.

I plead guilty to knowing people, knowing glass and knowing blowguns...amongst other things, less the inclination to be apologetic for the experience.

Hard to ignore someone who makes as much sense as I,thus your being powerless to refrain......................

Mr Howell,
I think it's just taking up bandwidth you starting threads telling the members how to treat you. They start with something cryptic that I never seem to understand and go form there. If you are responding to another thread or a PM at least reference it.
this thread reeks of "look at me,look at me"

Double mean, for thinking it funny...but I side with you and dig the low radar approach.

Fellas, I've been watchin' this "How to..." thing percolate back and forth now for what seems a very long time and it's gettin' no more attractive along the way. Hell, it's been goin' on so long I've come to terms with my own mortality....this little thing, it ain't to anybody's benefit at all, there is no winner. Whyn't y'all just pick up a gun and go shoot for a spell, get it out of your systems then come back and talk about that. Or go fishin', build a house, shovel snow...something productive...

Mean? Nah, I just think most people take Ken's crankiness too seriousy. He has admitted he is growing senile. Nothing wrong with that, I've seen alot folks both men and women grow senile when they reach the "golden years". Take Ken for what he is, an older gentleman who is senile. One has to learn Ken means nothing personal regardless of his posts.

That's right!

You won't meet a nicier gentleman than Ken Howell.

His roots are from the south and its second to none hospitality.
