I just bought my first ATV this weekend. I got an Arctic Cat 500. Now I am looking at some accessories. I looked at the Kolpin 6.0 Transport case online. Is that the one to go with for scoped hunting rifles? Any other recommendations? Thanks.

I met a French guy the other day. I asked him "Do you speak German?" He said "No." I said "You're welcome!"

I have a gun boot IV and Standard Gun Boot 6.0 ATV Bracket on my Grizzly 660. I like it and it keeps my rifle/shotgun dry and protected. I've used them 6 hunting seasons so far.

Bob Yes Kolpin is the way to go. I've tried cheaper routes that just didn't work well. I can't recall which Kolpin mount and case I purchased; I can confirm later, but I've used it for approximately 10 years.

I like the Kolpin 6.0 Transport and have 2 of them.

If you think you need one like that, I think the kolpin is the only route. I just strap my case to the rack and motor on.

Another vote for Kolpin. I've had one for over 10 years and works great for my bolt guns. My AR won't fit though so I have to find another way to pack it.

For a couple of years I had a Kolpin on the ATV and it worked OK in open country, but ever once in awhile it would snag on some brush and low hanging limbs. Screw that, took it off and now use a Plano ProMax Protector model 1511. It gives me the flexibility to strap it on different locations.
