Be hapy to buy you a cup of coffee while you're around. Check the Colorado DOW site for info. The site is no worse than any IRS site. Got a good local range here if you need to check a rifle. Be happy to mail you a copy of the Colorado Big game info

That is near Boulder. They call it "25 square miles surrounded by reality". Probably the most tree-huggin' area of the country. Qute densely populated, lots of trails and wide-eyed hikers on them. I would be inclined more towards units 19, 191, 7 and 8. Some really nice country with mixed forest and meadows, and some sagebrush in the eastern part towards hwy 287. Plenty of public land. This is where I took a shot at a 6x6 this last Saturday... -P

I just checked and there are buck leftovers for 191, and a ton of bull leftovers for units 7 and 8. These are available for all three rifle seasons. Colorado leftover tag list -P

Paul I just checked again, EM-00702R. there are tags but I wont be free yet then EM-00703R & 04R have an * I figure that meens sold out. Im not sure am I missing somthing ? Thanks Dave I also noticed EF007P5R but thats private land and I dont have access to any a cow would suit me fine if I cant get a bull tag. But the delema is to find a place to get access to with avalible tags while Im there. Ive been in contact with folks with the DOW. Im sure they are very bussy this time of year and calling me back is low on the list by the time they get home. I wish my boss would have let me know about this trip a few months ago!

Actually the * means the tags are available for any of those seasons I think.

OK I think I "may" have it figured out at least a fingerhold. NEXT I think the orange requirements are 500 sq in in CO? and solid (ie) no camo type orange correct?

The * means that the 1297 leftover bull tags for That unit are a 'Float' code, meaning the licenses are available for all three seasons, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. EM00702R
Lots of licenses still available in other words.
