Any recommendations for holding your bow at the ready in the treestand? I've tried the bow holders & bicycle hooks screwed into trees before and been paralyzed as a shooter looks straight at you when you move to retrieve your bow. I've all but frozen a hand holding onto a bow in the late season. Is there a better solution?

I use one of the pivoting arms. The back screws in to the trwe, but the arm pivots and allows the bow to be held out in front of you
I position my off to my bow hand side and out far enough that it is easy to skip my hand to the grip and get to full draw

I use the Realtree screw-in with the swing/pivoting hook arm. About $7.00 at Walmart and they actually work quite well. There is a guy that makes a bow holder that attaches to the side of your tree stand but I don't see how that would keep you from getting busted by deer. I think getting busted has more to do with your set up and knowing when you can move and when you can't.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
