It'll break the day apart. Here's mine.

95-99% 250-3000 from 300Jimmy. "Almost" factory fresh.

Another 250 from forum member Downwind. I call it "Gramp's" gun. Long story goes with it. D&T'd and sling swivels. Norman Ford Texam 2 1/2x PCH (again scope is from 300Jimmy)

.308 EG. Again "almost" factory fresh. From forum member 260ss. Replaced Marble's rear sight. It looks like it's been there since close to day one.

And on the bottom, another EG in .308 that came from DGF. Aftermarket recoil pad and custom wooden pistol grip cap, VERY nicely done

These are top to bottom.

Speigle Special in .303. In excellent + condition. Another one from DGF. Under that is a .300 that I got from France (indirectly). I have most of the documentation that goes with it. It came from an Air Force base there.

Next one is in the 705,000 range that came from a public auction. I don't know how I got it for the price I paid but I walked away a happy bidder. It is factory D&T'd and has a case colored rotor. I took this picture from both sides to show the wood. I have never seen better on and EG.

How's about we see more of of yours. Roe Clark told me himself that more of this model is found only because it was so popular with the hunting public. He said it was his favorite because it was so sleek. His own words.

The only EG I've got at the moment is an uncheckered pre-war .303 that I got from Saddlering a few years ago:

The one I with I still had (but don't) is this checkered .303, one of the last rifles turned out in that caliber.

I don't have one, "YET". I'm saving up, maybe a Christmas present. A member here sent me pics of one he has, down sizing his collection. Hope I can get it before he has to put it on GB, Joe.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Top is my 1953 in 300 Savage. Currently wearing a nice Stith with a 2 1/2 Weaver post reticle. Second is my 1948 250-300 with a 3x Weaver fine cross hair with dot in center. Both are in very fine condition. The 1953 is one of my choices for this years hunt. (along with my T)

Mater stakes. If you're going to use an analogy then I'd say the EG is more like Savages Bread and Butter rifle. I'm happy with my factory drilled .300. I was very happy with my Stith mounted .300 EG until some a-hole (sorry for my poor French but I detest thieves) stole it.

It can be "bread and butter" if you want. It really was in the day. We ALL hate thieves. Sorry to hear you were targeted........................

I traded my Marlin 336 for a 300 EG when I was 13. I thought it was the most beautiful gun I'd ever seen. It also worked. Over the next 5 or 6 years I killed three whitetails dead in their tracks with it. The EG is still one of my favorites. I also have a 308 and an uncheckered 300. David

Got the 308 out and photographed it. The uncheckered 300 isn't here, so I'll photograph and post it some other time.
