I like the "Skeeter" load of 7.5gr. Unique in my .44 Magnum with 240 SWC, I do shoot 9.0gr. Unique when I want more power. I have a powder measure of my own design/make that I use as a "dedicated" 7.5gr. and use that nearly exclusively when loading 240SWC in .44 Magnum. I also use 7.5gr. Unique when shooting 200gr. RNFP which is my favorite bullet in .44 whether .44 Special or .44 Magnum. I also concur regarding .1gr. increases in charge being a waste of time especially when evaluating accuracy of a handgun being fired from the hand, I doubt one being fired from a machine rest would show much if any difference with .1gr. increase in charge weight.

The 'Skeeter' load is 7.5grs of Unique in 44 SPECIAL brass, not magnum.
