What is you favorite 243 bullet for coyote hunting?
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Travis killing it is the first priority , keeping it is the second and optional pirority.

58gr Hornady's around 3900fps kill them pretty good.
I don't use them but have friends that do.

I killed a few with that bullet from a short barreled Browning Micro I had years ago. Killed em deader'n a door nail. I had to do some sewing but not too bad. I've seen just as bad or worse from 22/250's using those stupid plastic tipped bullets. To be clear,,, that was the Game King....not Match King IIRC...they make both in 85gr's

Both the 55gr and 70gr Nosler BT work well.

I'd shoot them with whatever your regular deer/antelope load is...
It will A) give you practical field practice with the load and... B) If its a heavier bullet ( I like 95 NBTs or the now discontinued 100 grain Horn) it may not be as tough on the fur as the lighter faster stuff.

For just killing them, the 70 gr. BT is hard to beat. Can be pretty rough on hides though.

68 gr fb bergers, i've seen 17 rem put a hole in a yote you could put your fist in. The only way i can save fur is to put it in there ear.

55gr. Don't have to run Hot at all.
I'm a firm believer in the theory of " If it bleeds, I can kill it".

The Sierra 70 gr BlitzKing looks to be one of the best options in a bullet for the 243 cal users.

Yep. 3340 out of a lilja tubed T3, and has that "lightning bolt" effect. Bang-flops deer too.

Havent seen that out of a 17rem yet, but ive only been shooting one for 20 years so maybe some day..
Ive been shooting 90gr Scenars in my lazy twist 243s, really like them. Like anything with a 243 vs coyote, it can leave a mess but they usually arent too bad.
