ingwe, you really going to eat 32 rabbits??? I give lots of game away, but I don't think I have eaten 10 rabbits in my life.. I hear they are excellent.. Years ago I ate some that were good.. My late wife and I tried cooking some, we had them in a crock pot to cook before frying them.. When we lifted the lid, the smell was just like skinning a cottontail as I remember, and the pot was floating with rabbit fat.. It was one of the few pieces of game she would not cook, and she was a great game cook..

Hell yes!

Im going to try and kill another batch next week, weather permitting!

I could easily eat fifty or so during the year. The white neat is a REAL nice change of diet from venison.

Eadsy Peasy...

Piece them up....

Parboil with onions for 5 minutes.

Roll in flour, S&P

Fry on medium heat in butter.

Make gravy out of the drippings, serve with mashed spuds.

Lots of chicken recipes work with them too, but they best are those that cover the pieces in some sort of liquid and bake them....Mushroom soup/sherry sauce is a fave, and I have an easy Sweet and Sour recipe that works great.

PM if you want it...

Theres not much better than rabbit, if you par boil the parts for 8-10 minutes or until the meat falls off the bone, strain that water and add a bag of Muellers home style noodles, cook them till done then add the boned rabbit meat and a can of creamed mushrooms, you will have some fine eating, we make big tin casserole pans to take to camp, it gets better every time you reheat it.
Its simple to add as much or as little as your taste demands.

If you like a little more crisp to your pan fried rabbit, dip the parts in scrambled eggs and replace the flour with bisquick and add some corn flake crumbs.

That works great on grouse breast if you fillet the meat off the breast bone first also.

It quick and easy to premix in ziploc bags and then just drop the meat in the bag , give it a shake and drop it in the skillet.

You guys are killing me, I guess I'm going to have to get some perch out of the freezer and fry them up, since I can't kill anything but crows from here.
