Check out the bidding on this. It seems that Irish18 wants to own this thing and is not messing around with dinking and dunking the bid process.

It would wind up there anyway.

Well, its up to $600 now, plus $25 "shipping" plus 5% "handling charge" if you return it.

Who the hell would agree to this clowns terms?

He says it 's 99.5% condition. Also states there is a "zipper mark" in the butt. JMO, but that would be more than the .5% to me. If you don't agree when it arrives, your out $61.25 for the privaledge of looking at this clowns misrepresentation.

Takes balls, gotta give him that. Seeing his feedback is not perfect.

Is it just me or are these auctions getting shadier?
He said the bluing and the case hardening are 99.5%...Then says there is a zipper mark! He didn't say the wood was 99.5%

How rare are rifles like this one. It looks exactly like what I want as far as stock and forearm style. I don't really care for checkering, pistol grip stocks, etc..

I've seen .250-3000s bring $625+ in the new A model. This thing could go for $850 and I wouldn't be shocked.

Now, I am talking about current US Dollars. RAM seems to use a different currency base for his calculations...

At the last Market Hall show here in Dallas I saw a new A model in 250-3000 on a table saturday morning and came back an hour later and it was gone.

It was 95-97% and the guy wouldn't budge off $650. When I came back we got to talking and I asked him "well, do you know what just happened?", and he said "yea, obviously I wasn't asking enough or it would have at least lasted until early afternoon". I agreed.

The bottom price in this area for a decent 99 in any caliber seems to be in the $500 range and the price quickly goes up from there depending on the condition.

Scheels had a 300 and a 308 awhile back. Both almost new with boxes. They were asking 900+. The 308 had a period Weaver scope. Where are you all finding these inexpensive ones. Have prices dropped since last year? Rock Island Auction had 50 engraved early ones at a recent auction.

Prices seem stable around my part of the world. High but stable. I have not seen a jump in the past two years. The gun shows in my area are pretty well attended and prices usually start at around 500 for nice stuff, with some pirates (Savageman) trying to get 500 for garbage.
