Ive had several Mark 4's dont know when the started doing white letters but they are.. If you look at the pictures on Leupold.com of the Mark 6's you can see the same writing.
Ill be more than happy to give serial number to the individual that purchased the scope if he would like to verify that its legit.

No worries with Dustin, he is solid and I would have no concern about the scope being legit at all.
